The Wise Deer and the Foolish Tiger

(Inspired by the Panchatantra)

In a sun-dappled forest, a clever deer named Chiku was known for his calm wisdom.

Nearby lived a fierce tiger named Rano who boasted that brains were no match for strength.

One morning, Rano declared, “I will catch Chiku by sunset!” The animals gasped. But Chiku smiled and said, “Let’s see if the forest agrees.”

As Rano chased Chiku, the deer led him through thorny bushes, across tricky streams, and into a maze of vines. The tiger grew tired, scratched, and confused.

Finally, Rano got stuck in a muddy swamp, roaring in frustration. Chiku stood at a safe distance and said gently, “Wisdom always finds a path—without a fight.”

From that day, Rano stopped bragging and asked Chiku to teach him the ways of the wise.

Lesson: Wisdom and calm thinking can overcome even the strongest challenges.
