The Turtle Who Talked Too Much

Tiko the turtle learns a tough lesson when his love for talking nearly gets him hurt. In the end, he discovers that silence can be a sign of wisdom.

The Turtle Who Talked Too Much

Once upon a time, by a peaceful lake, lived a talkative turtle named Tiko. He loved chatting with everyone—ducks, fish, even dragonflies.

One summer, the lake began to dry up. Tiko’s best friends, two wise geese, offered to carry him to a new lake using a stick.

“But you must not talk while we fly,” they warned.

Tiko held the stick tightly with his mouth as the geese soared into the sky. But as they flew over a village, he heard people below admiring the sight.

Proud and unable to resist, Tiko opened his mouth to speak—and fell! Thankfully, he landed in a soft haystack. Bumped but safe, he realized his mistake.

From that day on, Tiko learned the value of listening over talking.

Lesson: Sometimes, staying quiet is the wisest thing you can do.
