The Stork and the Crab
When a sly stork tricks the pond animals, a clever crab sees through the lies. With courage and wisdom, he saves the day and teaches a lesson in trust.

(Inspired by the Panchatantra)
In a quiet pond lived an old stork who had grown too tired to fish. One day, he pretended to be sad and told the fish he had heard the pond would soon dry up.

Worried, the fish and frogs asked, “What can we do?” The stork offered to carry them to a new pond, one by one. Grateful and trusting, they agreed.
But the stork was not truthful. Instead of flying them to safety, he carried them to a nearby rock and ate them!

Soon it was the crab’s turn. As they flew, the crab noticed bones below and became suspicious.

Thinking quickly, he grabbed the stork’s neck with his claws and demanded the truth.

When the stork confessed, the crab tightened his grip until the stork fell. The clever crab returned to the pond and warned everyone never to trust sweet words without reason.

Lesson: Always think for yourself—wise minds see through tricky lies.
