The Kind Boy and the Five Loaves

When Eli shares his lunch with Jesus, it becomes a miracle that feeds thousands. His kindness reminds us that small hearts can do big things.

The Kind Boy and the Five Loaves

(Based on the Gospel of Jesus – John 6:1–14)

On a sunny hillside by the Sea of Galilee, a large crowd gathered to hear Jesus speak. Among them was a small boy named Eli, who carried a basket with five loaves of bread and two small fish.

As the sun rose higher, the people grew hungry. The disciples looked worried. "How will we feed so many?" they asked.

Eli stepped forward, shy but brave. “You can have my lunch,” he offered, placing the basket in Jesus’s hands.

Jesus smiled, gave thanks, and began breaking the bread. To everyone’s amazement, the food multiplied—enough to feed thousands!

Afterward, twelve baskets of leftovers were gathered. Eli looked around in wonder, knowing his small gift had become a great miracle.

Lesson: When we give with a kind heart, even the smallest gifts can become blessings.
