The Fox and the Drum
When a mysterious sound scares him, Faro the fox learns a wise lesson about fear. Sometimes, what seems scary is just a hollow drum in the wind.

In a dry forest on a windy afternoon, a hungry fox named Faro was searching for food. As he tiptoed near a rocky hill, he heard a loud, thumping sound.

“Thump… thump… THUMP!” echoed through the trees. Faro froze. “It must be a giant beast!” he thought, and scampered up a tree to hide.

But curiosity soon got the better of him. Faro crept closer and discovered the noise was just a hollow drum, rolling in the wind.

Relieved and a little embarrassed, he laughed. “I almost ran from a drum!” he chuckled. Just then, he noticed a nest of berries nearby—his patience had paid off.

From that day on, Faro learned to check before panicking—and to always be curious, not fearful.

Lesson: Don’t fear the unknown before understanding it.
