Mira and the House on the Rock
When a storm hits, only Mira’s house on the rock stays safe. She learns that building on Jesus’s words keeps us strong through every storm.
(Based on the Gospel of Jesus – Matthew 7:24–27)
In a village by the sea, two friends, Mira and Nilo, dreamed of building their own houses. Mira chose to build on a strong, rocky hill. Nilo picked the soft sand near the shore.
They worked hard and decorated their homes with shells, flowers, and flags. But one night, dark clouds rolled in, and a mighty storm began to roar.
The waves crashed, and the wind howled. Nilo’s house shook and tumbled into the sea. Mira’s house stood firm, safe on the solid rock.
The next morning, Nilo looked at Mira’s house and said, “Now I understand. You built on something strong.” Mira smiled. “That’s what Jesus teaches. When we build our lives on His words, we stay strong through any storm.”
Lesson: A strong foundation of faith helps us stand firm when life gets rough.
